I received my Masters Degree in Theoretical Physics in July of 2009 from the University of Federico II in Naples, Italy. The title of my thesis was “Observational Status and Theoretical Prediction of Helium 3 Abundance” and was done under advisors Prof. G.Miele, Dr. G.Mangano.
The research work was centered on a galactic chemical evolution model and Big Bang nucleosynthesis (BBN).
Then I completed a Master in Physics and Physics Technology in October of 2010 at the Department of Modern Physics and Faculty of Scienceof the University of Cantabria, Spain. The title of my thesis was “Selection of high redshift Radio Loud Quasars” and was done under advisor Prof. Ignacio González Serrano .
Continuing in the same field of research I am currently working toward getting my PhD at the University of Cantabria with the same advisor Prof. J. Ignacio González Serrano ; holding an FPI fellowship from the Spanish ministry of education.
My research interests are strongly focused on high redshift Radio Loud Quasars (RL QSOs) , both on the Astronomical point of view as well as the Theoretical.
Astronomically I’m interested in data mining of samples of sources obtained from various Surveys, in general in different range of the spectra such as SDSS(optical), FIRST(radio), UKIDDS(infrared) surveys. In particular we combine Artificial Intelligence techniques and database management with the final goal of selecting new high redshift RL QSOs.
Having obtained their specta we are interested in using them to infer the Theoretical properties of this class of AGN objects, with particular attention to the study of Black Holes formation processes. On this side, we want to pay particular attention to deepening our knowledge of the little understood physical mechanism that generates the subclass of BALs (Broad Absorption Lines) quasars.
